About the McKenzie House
 This magnificent three-story 1895 Queen Anne style Victorian home is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Know
as one of the most elaborate Victorian structures in Gainesville's history, the McKenzie House has intricate Eastlake details
and a fanciful restored massing.
Of special note are the three-story octagonal turrets on the west face and the wrap-around
veranda which culminates in an octagonal gazebo. Beautifully restored inside and out, this home has unique fireplaces, parlors,
and detailed woodwork throughout.
 The house is surrounded by the luscious McKenzieGardens, which include a beautiful bridge, a pond and a gazebo. The McKenzie Gardens are dotted with blooming flowers, statues and fountains and are the site of most of Sweetwater Branch Inn's wedding ceremonies.
A short walk through the courtyard and over a beautiful bridge will take you to the McKenzie Hall. Its 2,300 square foot central room, with its many glass doors, opens to a large patio surrounded by lush Florida gardens. Elegantly designed with high, exposed truss ceilings, Victorian light fixtures, and crisp white paint, McKenzie Hall is perfect for any special occasion. With a full kitchen facility, serving room, and spacious restrooms, the Hall is perfect for receptions of up to 200 guests for hors d’oeuvres style or a light buffet or 175 guests for a sit-down dinner.
