I’ve got so many awesome things happening right now that you HAVE to know about!

1. Nora Belle’s cottage is finished and let me tell you, IT IS BEAUTIFUL! There are two bedrooms – Rosa’s with a King size bed and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, and Annie’s with a Queen size bed and a large private bathroom with a walk-in shower as well as a clawfoot tub. The cottage has a common living room area with a pullout couch, a dining room and full kitchen, a guest bathroom and a backyard patio. The front porch wraps around, too! I looooove it and I know you will too!

2. We got a vending machine! For all of those guests who get reaaal thirsty like me.

 3. Our garden is looking really nice! – definitely the best place for my late afternoon naps – OH I MEAN for all of the pretty Sweetwater weddings!

4. We’ve just decided all of the new Spring 2013 dates for our Farm to Table Progressive Dinners! These dinners sound so yummy.. 5 Courses, made with all fresh, local ingredients, and each course paired wine! The appetizer, soup or salad and main course will be served at Sweetwater, and then the cheeses, coffee and dessert will be served at our partner cafe, The Fat Tuscan! Plates are just $80 INCLUDING tax and gratuity! Talk about a great deal! Call us here at Sweetwater (352) 373-6760 to make your reservations – and do it quick! Space is limited and these spots go fast!

5. AND LASTLY my new favorite thing is getting built just next door to the front office – guys, it’s a pool! We’re soon to be the proud owners of a 30 foot heated eco-friendly inground salt pool and spa! Oh my goodness you guys this is going to be great!

December Events: 

The ice rink will open at the Bo Diddley Community Plaza, which is located at 111 E. Univ. Ave., on Friday, Nov. 23 and close onSunday, Jan. 6. The skating fee for one hour on the ice is $10 per person, including skate rental, or $7 per person for patrons furnishing their own skates.

Annual Tree Lighting at The Historic Thomas Center. Featuring caroling and holiday music from local artists. The heart of the celebration is the holiday decorations on the giant tree and around the building, which are annually provided by the Thomas Center Associates. Santa will be on hand to visit with the children.

Enjoy holiday cheer with The Gainesville Brass Quintet around the fabulous Christmas tree at themThomas Center. The performers are principal players with the Gainesville Chamber Orchestra. Worth a drive up to Gainesville.

We’re trying something new with Nora Belle’s – we’ll let you reserveeverything under the roof and hold a special party! Nora Belle’s as a whole is absolutely perfect for a family get-together, a Gator football party, bridal/baby showers, girlfriend getaways, and much more!***

And guess what! Sweetwater Catering is available for all Nora Belle’s Parties! Have your get-together catered in our chef’s kitchens onsite – takes all the remaining stress and hassle out of planning!

Family Get-Togethers are a Breeze in Nora Belle’s!

The cottage now has a couple new coats of fresh paint on its new walls, and we’re beginning to find those perfect furniture pieces to go inside. We’ll upload some pictures once we get some stuff in there!
